When you say buggy issue with the lines whats happening?
If you hit print screen on windows you can control + V (paste) into Discourse.

After another round of reboots inkscape crashes
i go back to illustrator which opens file in job control however, the job predicts a engrave time of 18 mins, (last week the same file took 7mins) and no cut lines detected.
If anyone is around tomorrow at anytime I would really appreciate some help to resolve.
Does it work with any file, even simple ones?
Also how large is the saved file, maybe it’s very large?
I tried laser engraving an inkscape ‘clipped’ image yesterday - when printing to the laser I had it crash with the same error.
My workaround - create a ‘stencil’ in inkscape. use a rectangle bigger than your image, and a copy of your cut line - perform an Object -> Difference operation (sorry, those menu options names may not be quite right). Push your image below the new ‘stencil’ - et voila! Same visual result as aligning a clipping path, but doesn’t crash when printing.
On a side note, laser seemed quite buggy yesterday - I had to keep restarting as job control would crash. Other users had fewer issues, so I assumed it was my file.
I avoid using Inkscape, too many issues arise when using it. Coral draw and illustrator are far more reliable. During inductions I suggest not to use it.

I agree that without purchasing anything it’s the only option, but I don’t think it’s fair to assume that free software will always be the solution.
Inkscape may work well on Linux and be passable on Windows, but it’s awful on Mac, and there are low cost options like Affinity Designer available.
My experience of using Inkscape with the laser cutter has always been notably more patching than Illustrator and CorelDraw.
