One of the really positive things going on in the space is the skill sharing, and I thought I would try and help out.

I’m just looking for a vote of interest for the following informal workshops:

  • Getting started with Trimble Sketchup for 3D printing
  • Getting started with Adobe Illustrator for Laser Cutting

By informal workshop I mean that I’ll try to teach it more off the cuff from bullet points, rather than spending hours up front like I might at work trying to abstract key concepts.

Once I’ve seen what the level of interest is I’ll look at scheduling one or two on a first come first serve basis. But folks will need to software and a computer for this.

I’ve voted yes for illustrator but £££ means I’m using inkscape so if I get the opportunity to come to a session I’ll hope to interpret your ai advice into inkscape.
