I’ll do me level best, should be something between plum vinegar and moonshine! :stuck_out_tongue:

I did not collect the logs, will probably never use the logs. Was going to turn them but there’s splits, anyone want them? Or use them as firewood? Is sycamore I think

@peter_hellyer @dsikar I have one of those jar bottles things at home, do you guys want it? I have no use for it, too small for what I need.

I can bring it in today.

I wouldnt say no  Thanks!

I think the red fireproof gauntlets are mine, I’ll take them away but if I’m mistaken let me know and I’ll bring them back.

There’s a pair of mine there too. I was leaving them for welding.

Oh ok I’ll leave them then. On black shelves next to red sofa.

Thanks for your kind offer. I’m aiming to collect two jugs this week so should be ok for the time being.

@fincheee -do we know if any of the PC towers are still knocking about?

If so, @unknowndomain - can you see any issues with butchering one or two to take the fans out? Looking to make a dehydrator/biltong box and think these fans may be suitable.

On that note… @Dermot can I pick your brains at some point regarding the heat box you made please?

Also, @Sponge_Bob I’m guessing you’re a biltong expert of sorts…you about anytime soon?

Cheers all.

Yes, they are still in the snug in the same place. Did we resolve to offer these to anyone interested? Ditto the servers and keyboards?

I’ve built a couple of dehydrators for making jerky etc, worked pretty well with just a 100w bulb at the bottom.

Awesome. How did you do it?

I was thinking a ply box with air holes at the bottom. A bulb or some sort of heating element inside and a fan at the top to act as an extractor.

Not sure if the box needs lining though.

Would want stainless steel racks to act as shelves.

Also, want an even temperature throughout the box. Very important that. Hence needing to see how Dermot sorted his heating box and how to test it etc.

Cheers for that. Will obviously wait to get the green light before attacking them!

Seems a bit excessive to break down a computer for a two quid fan…

Now you speaking my language. Lets do it! will have to make 2 though hahha

I asked @jonathanjo as he’s @systems to run his eye over the PCs etc to see what we might need – probably none of it? But he may have been sidetracked by the many shutter issues recently.

However: most of those are marked as working I believe, so maybe best to offer them new homes before tearing them apart for parts? @Courty you need one for the backup laser cutter?

It was only if they were being dumped and/or repurposed for spare parts. Obviously wouldn’t want to ruin a computer for someone if it can be salvaged

Definitely. Though I’ve been doing more research and it’s even easier than first thought. Shouldn’t need a heater. Just a box and a fan. 4 days of drying and you have quality biltong. Will have to make a biltong cutting board though. One with a knife attached to it.

If there is any computer that need to be thrown away, I will need the case, but only the case…
