iMac possibly broken - someone who know what to do with it?

Hi,
over the last few weeks I’ve found the screen of the iMac shadowed on the left. Thought it might be some funky setting but according to @Elizabeth99 it’s broken. Everything still visible, colours are dimmed tho.
The iMac is a fun thing to have. Is there anyone who can have a look and see what can be done?

It’s a faulty backlight by the sounds of it, depending on the model it’s likely an older model so it could be faulty capacitors on the inverter or a failing tube. If it’s a newer model it’s some dead LEDs or power supply.

Apple products have a marketing number Axxxx which you can find on the underside of the foot of the computer, if you can get this we can find a takeapart guide and then we just need a willing volunteer to try and fix it.
