Hello everyone!
I’m a jewellery designer who works primarily with horn. I’m currently looking for a workshop space where I can use a belt sander for my horn pieces.
Horn reacts similarly to wood when sanded, but it does give off a strong burnt hair smell when heated from sanding. The shared jewellery workshop I currently use has very little ventilation, so the smell builds up quickly.
I’m hoping someone here may know of a workshop that would allow me to come in and use their belt sander for my horn jewellery sanding needs. The space would need good ventilation/extraction to deal with the smell.
Please let me know if you have any leads on potential workshop spaces! I’d really appreciate any suggestions.
