With no time on the woodworking since school this is such a great chance to work together with my son to build a custom bass in time for his battle of the bands in November. Lots to learn but we’re both dreaming about the project already.

Welcome to the space. Member @Howard of many guises once not so long ago showed me a bass guitar he was nearly finished building. He is, if I may say so, reticent about his, in my eyes, great works, yet approachable and friendly so you might want to give him a nudge.
