Hi. I’m Luke.
I came to the open evening last week and was inspired in equal measure by the set up and the vibe. I guess these sessions work exactly as they are supposed to (I guess minus the manpower shortages), because as soon as I left I was pretty sure I wanted to join.
I live in Gipsy Hill and my professional background is in visuals and multimedia (camerawork, photography, editing, media production, etc.) for broadcast tv, online video, etc.
I can use a drill and swing a hammer without causing life threatening injuries to myself, but would like to learn more about working with wood. My first project will be something like a divider for my socks drawer, so hopefully my aspirations are well in sync with my non-existent skill level.
