Green woodwork in Stoke Newington

The pertinent parts of an email correspondence with Jo at London Green Wood CIC

Adrian Lloyd is definitely coming back next year to teach bowl turning again and also making ash-splint baskets. We also run our own courses throughout the year.

In the meantime your members might be interested in our volunteering days, details below.
Help us build viking lathes and other workshop equipment
On the first Friday of every month we have a voluntary day to build equipment for the workshop. This winter the plan is to: build three lathes for bowl turning, install signage in the park for Abney Trust, make all your other green woodworking dreams come true.

We’ll be getting together to build stuff Friday 2nd November and 7th December, we start 10ish and will be finishing 3-4pm in the dark months. No previous experience necessary, all and no skills and ideas welcome. Volunteering is open to over 18s who are physically and mentally able to participate. Let us know if you plan to join us londongreenwood(at)gmail.com

all the best,

Jo
