Fwd: Free material

Do we want any of the following?

6 black laminated chipboard shelves 750x280mm 11mm thick.

3 lengths of 43x43mm construction timber planed on all sides, each 3600mm
long. Bend and twisted but useful for smaller bits. Some smaller pieces of
the same material but with a few screws in.

6 aluminium ladder parts 1600mm long 310mm wide. They used to fit together
but not sure from how many ladders these parts are from. They are sprayed
in copper, but it easily comes off.

4 lenghts ( 4000, 2000, 2900 and 110 mm) of steel pipe OD ca 44mm wall
thickness 1.4-1.8mm.

Well timber is useful, but we’d just be storing it. So it’s a no from me.

Anyone got a use for the steel tube?

Steel tube is always useful! Whether it’s worth me driving my truck all the way from the forge in Hertfordshire to collect it is another matter…

Those aluminium ladder bits would make excellent go kart chassis…

I’m a hoarder. Ignore me!

Yeah…I’m trying to resist the temptation. If anyone has an imminent need for these things, then go for it.

We are talking very imminent - these have to be collected in the next few days.

Can’t the timber be used for (structurally at least) building some cabinetry for the kitchen?

PS: If no use is found for the 3 lengths of 43x43mm timber and it’s ok with you guys I could come and collect it this weekend.

We’ve got more than enough spare timber as it is.

Gui - I’ll PM you the guy’s email and you can get in touch yourself

Cool, thanks.

The timber would have been useful for the space, but it’s only a few pieces so not worth driving to Lavender Hill for.

That was my reasoning.

No more crap please!

Say “stuff” - not because it’s polite, but because a good hoarder will just assume you’re talking 'bout the stuff they don’t want;

Refusing “crap” gives Tacit approval of the really good stuff like those 372 undocumented clone op amps or the 3 drawer sliders I was going to use for a mini-mill or those miscellaneous circuit boards I was going to de solder or …

Hi, My name is Lauren, it has been 21 days since I started my last Project. Oh, wait, do projects with family members that you take over and bike shed the heck out of? Then it’s been 5 days
