Could be for the blackboard wall
Yes that would work
Better start getting more plasterbord on the wall to make this work
As I keep pointing out: we have quite a pile of 8x4 boards in the space already.
Especially if a new solution is being sought for the insulation at the top?
Let’s use the boards we have?
address is 241 camberwell new road, give me an idea of when someone can pick it up and i’ll tell the person who’s house it is. my number is 07881011717.
This mdf will use the plasterboards
Its a start
And I will can make the jolly bored into some labyrinths
This is a joke?
Really not sure about a blackboard wall. Does anyone apart from Tommels like this idea?
No sorry we need it so the cladding gets over the blockwork,
All mass is good mass in that wall and it gets it out of the way but I agree it’s starting to get very silly
Ps I am agnostic about the finish just what to get on with it
6 layers of plasterboard, 2 cladding?
Are you sure it’s not getting silly?
I AM sure it’s getting silly.
Yes it is silly, But apparently it’s important to have single finish on a wall and no changes in levels.
So hang on tight and enjoy the silly
We have boxed ourselves into a hole and have over ordered plasterbord so a simple way out is to pile it on the wall until the levels come good
Surely we just screw MDF to the existing PB wall and make a feature of that small nib wall. It would be nice to have some exposed brick SOMEWHERE.
Please no more plasterboard on the wall!
1.33 cubic feet per board! That’s storage lost!
Not that grim blockwork.
I put forward the same solution weeks ago but it didn’t fly.
The point I made weeks ago
Is their an emoticon for smug face?
I think some blackboard would be nice, but I think an entire wall of BB is overkill and won’t really get used. Let’s put make 6’ of BB in to the left of the door, and then put some other nice finish on the rest.
Otherwise, I fear that the space will take an atmosphere conducive to burning joss-sticks and writing poetry about feelings and that. I shouldn’t be allowed to have feelings in the space. We’ll all regret it.
So. Jack’s offer of MDF?
Do we have a use for it? We should be careful not to accept stuff we can’t use right now, as storage problems have been highlighted by the ever moving pile of vintage wood and the already blackboard-painted MDF…
I think we could easily use this material, be it for the walls or for shelving. We’re yet to make a buttload of shelving.
