Hi Frank

If there’s any interest, I know how to program Lattice ICE40 FPGA using the nice and cheap Icestick evaluation card and would be happy to run a workshop.

“I know how to” means “I can do hello world (LED blinking)” and know how to run the (fully open source) toolchain.

Let me know if we should have a workshop. Paul @courty showed a little interest too.

All best,
J.

Hi Daniel @dsikar wasn’t sure if that was a “yes” or not! Should we organise an afternoon session and see if others want to come? All best, J.

Yes, the Icestick using Clifford Wolfe’s bitstream hack started the MyStorm project off.

An afternoon session would be a great idea! I could bring my MyStorm along

Up for that could do one next week ideally on Wednesday to stay on for my open evening duties but any will do really. I’m also signed up for the BSC event.

Hi gang

How about Wednesday 1 Feb at 15.00-17.00 nice quiet time in the afternoon. I’ll bring notes and some kit to use.

RSVP

All best,
Jonathan.

In my diary. No guarantees that I’ll be along, but I’d like to de-magic FPGAs a bit.

For somewhat historical reasons, I follow http://m-labs.hk/ who do crazy things with FPGAs and their tool chains.

Count me in.

I am interested and will try to make it, but like Toby I am afraid I cannot promise to be there.

I’ll bring biscuits.
