So I’m currently deep into a project that will involve me putting together a wooden tray to hold an IoT device. My current prototype is made from laser cut plywood and is glued together manually, but I’d bet that there’s a smarter way to do this. Is there a guide to making flat pack furniture somewhere online, or any projects that anyone’s heard of that sounds like it would be useful to read?
If anyone has any better ideas on how I could do this, let me know. I’m happy to talk through what I’m working on.

Do you have a photo of the prototype?

Sure, here’s a pic:

I’d suggest that if you want to use CNC to cut the shapes accurately then laser cutting is your only option at the space at the moment, which implies thinnish materials, which probably will need gluing as you don’t have the meat to use any other type of fixing.

Which is what you’re doing.

@RichM, thanks for taking a look. At least that confirms I’m on the right track with my prototypes.

You’re welcome. Just one opinion.

Of course, if we had a CNC router.
