@members The current membership system has a number of serious faults in it resulting in members not being able to physically gain access to the space on a daily basis.
We are also facing a deadline of November when the system Persona that we use to handle user login will be discontinued and members will not be able to login or join.
We are at a crisis point with this, the work to offload trustee responsibilities has begun but we are nowhere near at the point I can find time for this, the project is too much for one person, my skills are not strong enough and frankly I’ve run out of enthusiasm on it.
There is an urgent need for the continued operation of Makerspace for some people to help. We’ve had a few false starts but other life issues have distracted from this project.
We absolutely desperately need help to replace the old system.
I’m coming down on Thursday, I don’t think I can contribute a lot of time but I can offer some. Hopefully enough of us can get together to make it work.
@peter_hellyer , i reckon you would be spreading yourself thin, you’re one of three foreman for the physical work and it might impact that, it seems like there is a good crew on this anyhow by the sounds of it
I agree Pete doesn’t need the distraction but I don’t think we have anyone yet who’s shown the ability to put the time in on this, it’s a big project frankly.
