Drop saw and pillar drill induction

Good news
I’m writing down an induction for the drop saw and the pillar drill, I think that if I don’t start I’ll never learn myself how to induct people
So I want to ask 2 things

@directors, do I have green light for this?

I need 3 guys that know how to use already the tools (more or less) to run one or two test induction who’s up for it?
I have no idea when yet… but we can arrange something together

Of course you have the green light.

I’m happy to be a Guinea pig for this, and I’m sure there’s others.

Let’s make it soon!

Guys sorry maybe I wasn’t clear… there are only 3 spot… remember this is the first test induction… I can stretch it to 4 but not more than that for the first time… sorryyyyyy!

Yep, thanks for the reminder

If we know how to use the equipment do we need the induction?

Yes, everyone will need to be inducted.

Well… Yes…
In this particular case I’m willing to induct ONLY people that know how to use it because is my first attempt.

More In General to meet healt and safety regulations EVERYONE needs a formal induction.

If you are a cabinet maker will be 5 min long, if you have never seen the tool before could last 3 hours but all members willing to use the equipment need an induction…

@Dermot & @stefanoromano ok understood.

Where are you getting the information from for the induction? Who is inducting the inductee?

At the moment I’m getting what I can from the internet and my experience… the induction of the inductee is exactly what we are going to do with the first test induction…
Do you have any suggestions from where to get data?

In New Zealand we have a great Health and Safety system for in the workplace and heaps of information available.

Here are some fact sheets outlining hazards and appropriate PPE needed for various pieces of equipment.

Additionally here is a link to help you identify, assess, control, document and monitor machine related hazards.

Hope these are useful
