Big CNC setup for Fusion 360

Hi @CNCtechs,

Do we have a fusion machine setup and tool lib for the big cnc like we do for the Desktop?

I didn’t spot it on the tool page. If someone can share or advise how we could create one I’d be very grateful. Cheers

Not yet… I’d need to check how to setup the tool for fusion, i don’t know yet @Kyle?

I built out a spreadsheet to generate the tool library for both vcarve and fusion and have been trying to hand it off for a year :slight_smile:
@Federico you have some time to go through it? We’ll need some tweaks for what we’ve learned on the big machine

@CNCtechs

(rephrasing my original reply)

How do I find the afforementioned Desktop CNC machine settings and tool library for Fusion?

It looks pretty straightforward to create a new machine in Fusion, you just have to then go in and add all the parameters and such if it’s not in the prepopulated list of machines that Fusion has in its database.

Thanks!

@nhjansen - Let me know if you run into any problems with the import, running the CAM. Happy to talk you through some gotchas.

Import support easy. Fusion CAM workflow through to milling the part more complicated…

Hi folks,

I just downloaded the fusion tool library for the mini CNC - can anyone advise if the default settings on these suitable for milling hardwood?

Many thanks!
