I am interested, but not sure where I would be able to keep some. If anyone has any advice as to how to go about keeping bees in a flat with limited garden space, I am all ears

I work here, we’re in the middle of the Bee Count.
Im not a keeper, but helping save the bees in other ways.

It was surprising news to me, but a lot of bees are solitary. You can easily make a bee hotel from hollow bamboo canes.
Unlikely you can keep a hive, unless you have access to the roof?

@boldaslove?

I think Dean means honey bees, rather than the other kinds of at risk species

as do I  wants me some sweet sweet honeys.

you’ll be wanting one of these then …

Hi yep I was talking about apis mellifera the common honey bee - there are also about 267 solitary bee species in the UK

@Courty I like the observation hive

I’ve just got an allotment which allows bee keeping. I would like to get into keeping bees in the future. Maybe next year.

(Just seen this post)

I can help any one who wants to keep bees.
I’ve been doing it for three years now.
2 as a part time paid beekeeper.
I’m addicted.

Can show any one that wants to peak in a hive. Wants help setting up.

Interested to talk to any one who wants to go into this as a business.

The boring science reality bit:
There are loads of honey bees in London. What we really really need is more flowers and trees that provide forage.
