Coo. Yes, that is deserving of way more than a ‘like’.

Also note that everything wall-ward of the fence is completely custom-made. The steel frame and (perfectly level) table top are all built from scratch.

Tis a thing of beauty
Hats off to @joeatkin2 @stefanoromano !

And anyone else who helped build this I might add! I’ve only ever seen J and S working on it but I’m not exactly Mr. Regular at the space.

The interlock is also on and one end stop .
The brake is working but I got but the pcb still needs a little work and unfortunately part of the gard needs a bit of a rejig

But very nearly there

Any volunteers to paint it ?

It still needs a bit of fettling but I was hoping someone who has a bit of time could give it a couple of coats of paint.

@RichM I need about 25mm of thick wall tube about 60mm internal diameter, any chance you have a offcut in your scrap bin ?

Round? Yes, probably. I’ll look tomorrow.

Oh yeah, one question: Apart from looking cool, is there a reason why the extract goes down the support column then back up the duct, instead of just going straight into a 90° bend on the duct, under the gate?

Because I didn’t know where the ducting was going to be when I started building it .

But looking cool is good enough.

It also means that the saw is a tidy unit that only requires one extract port . At the time I was thinking about under floor extract.

Have we got a spray gun for the compressor? if not can the space purchase one?

Would be best if we could use two component paint for hard wearing. If we have the stuff I can do it no worries.

It might make more sense to go to the mechanics as we don’t have proper facilities for painting either yet? In terms of extract.

If it’s not raining and there’s no wind can do it outside… I am not up to date with relationship between the space and the mechanics re using their equipment/workshop

There isn’t anything, but you could ask

Don’t understand, what needs painting on that exceptional Work of Art?

Pant it back the colour of my sole

Round internal diameter 60mm wall as thick as you have in the bin

I agree, why does it need painting?

To stop it going rusty?
