AI content and forum conduct in an unmoderated space

Promised I would share progress as I go, so here is the first working prototype out of the autonomous CAD metaskill I’m developing.

The brief was a dual-body scraper: an ergonomic NURBS-curved blade with a translucent handle exposing embedded porous lattice core. The model is generated end to end by the system from a single prompt headlessly to .3mf for a dual-material PLA print, translucent over opaque, on the X1C. Is it successful? I am honestly frightened to invite judgement.

The scraper idea originated from @Lia, who is co-hosting the 3d Print induction tomorrow at 10am. Thanks Lia!

Happy to walk through the setup for anyone curious.

Ignoring everything else that’s happened in the thread, I think doxxing someone’s usernames as a coded threat is completely unacceptable. I don’t think that should be brushed under the rug, this needs to be dealt with.

Thanks for noticing @FunkyGroover, I have highlighted your remark in the parent post adjustment note.
Stalking and blackmailing are serious, criminal offences like doxxing could be sometimes, and should be reported to the police.
Worth decoding though, what those terms actually mean, because false allegations and/or defamatory libel may act as a double-edged sword, just like the interpersonal tactics, especially when carried in bad faith, for example:

  • ad hominem attack,
  • adopting a victim stance,
  • amplified grievance,
  • attention-seeking,
  • backhanded apology,
  • bad-faith critique,
  • bad-faith escalation,
  • bad-faith heckling,
  • bad-faith intrusion,
  • belittlement,
  • casual incivility,
  • character attack,
  • claiming victim status to evade scrutiny,
  • clout-chasing,
  • concern-trolling,
  • DARVO — Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender,
  • denigration,
  • dismissive devaluation,
  • dismissive non-engagement,
  • disparagement,
  • disproportionate accusation,
  • disproportionate allegations,
  • drive-by denigration,
  • drive-by intervention,
  • exaggerated allegations,
  • faux apology,
  • feigning injury,
  • gratuitous disrespect,
  • hostile derailing,
  • ideological gatekeeping,
  • ideologically motivated disparagement,
  • inflated accusations,
  • insincere apology,
  • interference,
  • interjection,
  • intrusion,
  • manufactured grievance,
  • non-apology,
  • overblown accusations,
  • performative apology,
  • performative victimhood,
  • personal disparagement,
  • public belittlement,
  • public discourtesy,
  • reputational attack,
  • sarcastic apology,
  • self-victimisation,
  • uncalled-for disrespect,
  • uninformed criticism,
  • unprovoked contempt,
  • validation-seeking,
  • victim-offender reversal,
  • victim-playing,
  • victim-posturing,
  • weaponised victimhood

I was referencing two of Max’s posts in this comment. The second has now been completely deleted from this thread (I dont know by whom - could have been mods) which may make it harder to work out what happened.

The first of the two posts is still visible - it’s the one that has been edited to say, “(post deleted by author)”. The second appears to have been removed completely.

I do not know if more posts than that have been deleted. I only saw those two.

(Edit: To Max, I do not wish to engage with that response. If I’m getting anything wrong please say so directly - I don’t want to whip up a witch hunt.)

Hi all,

I am not sure why this thread got so contentious, although this is a forum for humans, AI is now common as a writing tool, of course it should be used with careful review for accuracy and content, but it is not banned from the forum especially on a thread talking about AI itself.

I am going to close this thread as it has gotten out of hand though, and please everyone try to be civil and have respectful conversations.

Thank you!
