Please can someone laser cut these for a new member?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks @neill0 for laser cutting what I thought was the vital part. It was like magic. What a powerful machine.

Unfortunately, someone sent me the wrong file so I need to get it done again with the correct file below.

I’d like to laser-cut the following parts before my induction.

I’m happy to pay for materials and someone’s time. It should only take 15mins
Probably 5mins for the vital SVG file

Any strong material eg. acrylic (around 8mm thick)
or 6mm ply.

The originals in acrylic (around 8mm thick) are badly cracked.

Ideally it would be aluminium. Is there currently any equipment capable?

Hi Robert, I’m happy to do that laser-cutting for you tomorrow if you can source suitable wood or acrylic before then. I should be free from about 1730 until probably 2000.

There’s a page of suppliers and, in a pinch, sometimes there is material for sale in the rack under the offcuts - prices are on the rack and payments go in the honesty box on the edge of the rack. (These prices are set for the extreme convenience, they’re not intended to be great.)

Hopefully, someone else could comment about how you might make the part from aluminium.

I’ll endeavour to find materials tomorrow.

The only London place I found hasn’t got back to me.

I’m happy to buy materials. Are there any stores around London on a Sunday?

@Elizabeth99 helped me get them both done.

And we had a good chat with Henry and Chanel.

I’ve now discovered another broken part which I can glue this time. Then calibration and 1st print!
