Making PCBs - CNC mill?

Hi,
I’d like to start making some prototype PCBs. Having just tried toner transfer method I have remembered the hassle I’ve had with this approach in the past. Results are too inconsistent. So I considered making a UV light box with UV LEDs, as I’ve seen online that people have done this successfully. (I know we have a UV box in the space but I would like to have something at home for convenience.)
Doing my research though it seems that CNC mills of good enough precision are now an affordable (relative term I know) option for this, which bypasses the messy etching part.
E.g. https://hackaday.com/2018/01/16/review-linksprite-mini-cnc/#more-289208
It’s possible to build a map of the z-axis depth to compensate for any warping in the PCB, which makes this approach feasible.
Has anyone tried this with a similar UK available kit?
Something like this may be the same as the one in the review above: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beautystar-Control-Carving-Milling-Engraving/dp/B075VQ7SP4/ref=sr_1_5?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1516450005&sr=1-5&keywords=CNC+kit

We can make very good boards with the UV method.

You just need to get the artwork right.
