Bear in mind that the ply will be stood off on battens, so if you don’t mind protuding socket boxes, you can run cables behind it.
Make The Space – Monday 14th March
Was planning to put all the tool control atuff on the surface in armed flex so it’s flexible
Why are we soundproofing the wall to the ‘noisy’ workshop? It is that your question?
Put the wires in now. Plus some extras.
Cable trays ?
Whats done is done, lets move on, it isn’t a huge issue.
Doesn’t even really mean that either. We can easily hack out the PB from behind
What time you getting there joe?
Will try to get there by 1600
Good point.
Let me know when you’re 20mins away and I’ll come down
Switches behind the door is not best practice, you sure you want the main switches hidden as you open the door ?
Also saw mention of mag locks and Reader, is that on the ‘Dermot Memorial door’ too ?
Courty
Thats why I am suggesting we move them, they will be behind a door otherwise.
Main door or inter-space doors ?
Courty
Both, I measured the doors at 33" and there is a sliver of space even if both doors were open all the way back, the space is big enough that they’d never be hidden even if the measurements are off.
p.s. Although they are surface mounting boxes, we should be putting the cables through the wall behind, rather than in conduits out the sides.
Agree, cables in the walls where at all possible - safer and neater.
will have a look at the switches when i’m next in
Courty
Cool thanks!
Progress update:
Second lighting gantry installed
We need rock wool to proceed further on the wall.
A little bit of tidying up was also done in phase 1, to clear some of the things that were impeding access to the main table. It still has a lot of stuff on it, but you can at least get to it now. The blue pallets have also now gone from the front.
Hooray for gantry number 2. Sorry I couldn’t make it this evening.
Even more hooray for the final departure of the blue pallets.
